We offer two types of keratin treatments: Keratin Treatment and Keratin Express. They have similiar benefits since they are both keratin treatments; however, there are a couple of differences.
What is Keratin Treatment? It is a specially formulated, revitalizing and rejuvenating treatment for the hair that eliminates up to 95% of frizz and about 50% of curl. The advanced patent-pending formulation restores and restructures hair by infusing a special blend of natural keratin deep into the cuticle. The keratin is bonded into the cuticle by the heat of the flat iron to relax the hair’s sub-cuticle layer.
How much time will service take? This depends on hair length, type, and texture. It also is determined by which keratin treatment you receive.
Keratin Express: 1 – 1.5 hours
Keratin Treatment: 2 – 2.5 hours
What results can be expected after the treatment? The hair will be more manageable and take much less time to style. It will be noticeably softer and straighter, with added life and shine. Most important – up to 95% FRIZZ-FREE hair!
Can hair be colored before the treatment? Yes! A great time to have the treatment done would be directly after color since the keratin seals in the color and improves shine! However, you can also color hair 3 weeks after treatment.
Can the treatment be done on chemically treated hair, previously relaxed or straightened hair? YES, but it is recommended to wait two weeks after any chemical service.
How many days after the treatment before I can get hair wet or wash hair? This is the best part…. ONLY 24 hours!!! During that time you cannot pull your hair back, use hair clips or hair bands to secure hair. If you do get hair wet, simply blow dry and flat iron hair (on low to medium heat) immediately.
What happens after treatment? Hair will gradually return to its original state, but in better condition.
What kind of shampoo and conditioner should be used? Keratin Shampoo & Conditioner (Sodium-Chloride also known as “salt” and Sulfate Free).
How long will the treatment last?
Keratin Express: 4-6 weeks
Keratin Treatment: 3-5 months
(The time the treatment lasts varies depending on lifestyle and maintenance, provided that you follow all after care instructions.)
Can the treatment be done on pregnant or nursing women? No. It is not recommended.
Can I swim in a pool or go to the beach? Salt water or chlorinated pool will reduce the life of your treatment. It is recommended that you apply leave in conditioner prior to going in pool/ocean and rinse immediately after.
